A blind bet is a forced bet you have to place before the round starts and cards are dealt. Poker is a battle for blinds. Without them everyone would be waiting for premium holdings and there would be no action. The blinds are there to force the action and get the game going. Because of the nature of a blind bet you, in the long run, everyone is losing money in these two positions. Learning to play the blinds correctly is a vital part of strategy in winning players arsenal.

When you are in a big blind you basically have three options
Give up and fold ( assuming you are not let to play free )call a raise and defend your blindre-raise and defend your blind with you having the edge of putting the last bet in
Give up and fold:

You should be giving up the weakest part of your holdings. It’s just not profitable to play those trash hands. However tempting it might be to see the flop and see if you hit it hard and flop two pair or better, you are just not going to flop good often enough to make it profitable. Even if you hit, it’s not guaranteed that you will get any action and win enough money to overcome the times when you call the raise and end up giving up after missing the flop.

Call a raise:

You should be calling that extra bet more often when facing a raise if there are already more than one people in the pot. The more players there are in the hand, the bigger the pot is, and the better your odds are. A perfect place to play hands like suited connectors, suited aces, suited kings and small pairs. Any hand that has the potential to flop big is a good hand here. Be careful with a hand like weak ace. If you flop that ace the chances are you are already beaten by a bigger ace. I personally like to discard the smaller non-suited aces here.

re-raise:

Naturally you re-raise with your premium hands but this is the place to use your imagination and play back even when the cards don’t justify it. When you re-raise with hand like 7-8 against a single opponent here and an ace flops. When you make a continuation bet, your opponent is going to muck pretty much all hes holdings that do not have an ace, and there will be lot of them. Most of the time you can just pick up the pot right there. Second scenario is a small flop that hits your 7-8. Now your opponent is not going to believe that this flop is good for you and might be calling you down with very weak holdings or even bet the whole way with nothing trying to get you to fold. Make your opponent’s life harder by re-raising frequently. Do not over do it though or you are going to be facing a lot of 4-bets if your opponents are playing good and adapting. Balance is the key here.

Read more poker strategies and start making money at poker.

http://www.buildingabankroll.com/ offers free tips on how to be a better player and how to avoid the pitfalls of online poker.

Are you in a rush to reach the level cap in Star Wars: The Old Republic? That is why you are looking for a SWTOR leveling guide? Well before you start your little race to reach level 50, ask yourself this: Is it worth it?

If you haven’t played any Bioware games, you should know that their games are all about the story. The quests in their single player games are all narrated and you have several options when answering. Options that change the way you advance in the game. Well they didn’t make anything different with Star Wars: The Old Republic.

The main line of the quest is very well made and the voice acting is flawless. You can give normal answers, or answers that increase either your Dark or Light side. Your answers will also affect your companions, and their allegiance to you. So do you really want to skip on all of that?

The fact is that when you do the quests normally, you will still progress pretty fast. Mainly because you will get so caught up in the story that you will lose track of time and you will struggle to do as many of them as possible. If you start rushing towards the level cap, you will be missing out on more than half the game.

So for now, when there aren’t many characters at the level cap, you should enjoy the game. There is much to see and to do. When you want to make another character, then you can try rushing that one. Just know that every class has a different story.

You can rush your toon quite easily. All you have to do is skip the cut scenes from the quests and focus mainly on finishing them and grouping them together. With the help of your companions, finishing any quest will be a breeze. Even some Heroic ones.

At the moment, however, it seems that by doing PvP is the fastest way to level up. You get a lot of XP from Warzones, no matter if you win or lose. Not only that, but you also have dailies that also give XP, credits and barter items. But if you spend most of the time in Warzones, you won’t see almost nothing of the game.

My recommendation would be to first play your favorite character normally. Do quests, group up for Heroic quests, do PvP and also space missions. And when you want to try something completely new, then you can get a SWTOR leveling guide and get it to the level cap fast.

If you are bent on leveling fast, then here is a SWTOR Leveling Guide.

It is the Best SWTOR Guide you will ever see!

Are you looking for a Star Wars: The Old Republic Guide? Well, unfortunately I can’t write a complete one here, to cover all the slices of game content. However, in this post I’m going to provide you with a quick overview on the SWTOR classes.

By reading this brief Star Wars: The Old Republic Guide, you will understand without reading too much what role can each SWTOR class fulfill, and hopefully you will make the right choice when creating your character and choosing a specialization tree.

If you choose to play on the good side of the force, joining the Galactic Republic faction, you can choose from four different main classes: Jedi Knight, Jedi Consular, Smuggler and Trooper.

The Jedi Knight. This class excels at close combat. As a Jedi Knight you can choose to be Guardian (tank), wielding one lightsaber and heavy armor or Sentinel (melee DPS) wielding two one-handed lightsabers and inflicting high amounts of close range DPS. As a JK, you will be relying specially on lightsaber attacks, and most of them have awesome animation.

The Jedi Consular. This type of jedi, is more of a caster type, speaking in MMO terms. You can follow two paths as a Jedi Consular, Shadow and Sage. If you’re going to follow the Sage specialization, depending on the skill tree that you will choose, you can become either a force-healer of a force-wielding damage dealer. The Shadow Jedi Consulars on the other hand are double-blade lightsaber damage dealers, which also receive a stealth ability and stealth-based attacks.

The Smuggler. There’s no doubt this is the cunning class of the Republic, with a solid arsenal of crowd control and crippling attacks. As a Smuggler you can be a Gunslinger, dual-wielding two blasters, focusing on precise ranged DPS, or you can choose the Scoundrel specialization, which can either act as a healer or off-healer, or as a DPS class with stealth and stealth-based ranged attacks.

The Trooper. The last class to be mentioned in this Star Wars: The Old Republic guide for the Republic faction is the heavy assault, ranged DPS class – the Trooper. Although they use heavy machine guns or rifles, Troopers can cover all the roles in the game, tank, healer or heavy DPS, depending on advancement specialization and skill tree they choose. The two paths a Trooper can choose from are Commando and Vanguard. As a Commando you can be either an expert gunner relying on a heavy assault cannon, or a combat medic. On the other hand, as a Vanguard you can become a medium ranged DPS, with quite a few interesting short range attacks, or a shield specialist, which boosts their armor factor becoming able to sustain plenty of heavy damage and hold aggro – that would be a tank role.

My choice: I like the Smuggler class a lot. Seems like a really flexible class and has quite a few cool moves that really stuck to me, and with proper training and equipment, it makes hell of a DPS.

Do you wish to master each side of SWTOR content, playing a Galactic Republic class?

Best solution: a complete SWTOR Guide!

One of the few classes which are considered hybrids in WoW are Shamans. A good reason to be part of the “Sharmmys” are they can spec to melee dpsers, elemental tree, restoration tree or casters. They are quite versatile.

Leather-Working and Skinning

Effortless in leveling and quite useful, these professions should be a first choice of a Shaman. Why? Simply because Shamans are mail wearers and with Leather-Working while leveling up, they can make nice pieces of gear no matter what spec they are under. If a Shaman would like to make things more profitable for itself, then Shaman Leather-Workers could craft mail pieces of gear for Hunters or leather pieces of gear that will suit Rogues and Druids. Skinning also supports a buff called Master of Anatomy that can increase the strike rating by 32!

Warcraft Jewel-Crafting and Mining

If you are playing a Shaman on the Alliance then Jewel-Crafting could be one of your choices. They are the only race that can play a Shaman which are the Draenei and the default for this race is +10 on Jewel-Crafting. It is something to think about. In any case Jewel-Crafting is a good profession to have and is best paired with Mining. This profession is really good as it comes with the stone statues that will heal when you run into trouble. It also provides nice rings and necklaces and other gems that can be carry around.

If you are into prospecting then this is one of the skills that will get you into Jewel-Crafting. Prospecting during mining will allow you to extract valuable gems from the ores found. The unique-equipped and soul-bound gems are very profitable and another valuable benefit to using this profession. And it is no secret that mining can increase the stamina by 50. Not bad for just Mining, The buff called Toughness is another reason this profession is very popular.

Several Other Benefits of the Shamans

Enchanting is definitely nice to have since each and every character, regardless of which class or spec will be needing his/her gear to be enchanted. In a few uncommon scenarios Elemental and Restoration Shamans can be combine in the profession under Tailoring. It is a good combination because together they can make good casting pre-raiding gear and it can be wore like cloth.

If you take into consideration that they are casters/healers they rarely do more than stay behind, which means they acquire little to no damage. The mail gear armor pieces bonus does little for this character. Nevertheless it is always recommended to wear the best gear you have on you. There is some really great mail gear that can be also crafted with Leather-Working under these two specs.

Alchemy coupled with Herbalism are generally two professions that can consistently come in handy for each and every class, not to mention that they are quite easy to level up. A great bonus is the buff called Life Blood which will heal for 2000 over 5 seconds. Aside from Alchemy, Inscription combined with Herbalism may be a good choice for the Shaman since the Glyphs may be very useful. There are several unique glyphs differing on the spec you have with the totems and spells you are using.

Engineering along with Mining may be fun since you can craft armor pieces for yourself as well as other helpful gadgets. There are plenty of good choices to make with this profession. Find the one that is right for you and stick with it until you get what you are after.

World of Warcraft is an exciting online experience. Yet it can get frustrating when tasks become repetitive. Grab a Dugi Guide and get back to enjoying the game.

World of Warcraft – It Is Addictive

For those online gamers who travel to the world of Azeroth to engage in virtual adventure, World of Warcraft (or “wow”) is more than just a game. It is an alternate reality that is really quite addicting. Ask anyone who’s played it for a while and they will tell you that they frequently lose track of time while they are playing; the hours just seem to slip by.

The reason that the World of Warcraft is so addictive is that you can get totally absorbed in the seemingly infinite amount of details and complexity within this alternate reality. Whether you are actively fighting monsters or just exploring the world, it is an adventure that many find hard to drag themselves away from.

Gaming Strategies – Getting the Competitive Edge

Since WOW is a competitive game where literally millions of players are pitted against one another, everyone is looking for an edge. Many chat rooms and bulletin boards offer the dedicated gamer the chance to pick up a tip or a trick in order to help them advance to the next level and unlock more benefits of the game.

Some of these tips and tricks are legitimate, but others are either frowned upon or are downright illegal (in the gaming sense – they won’t land you in jail) and can get you banned from wow.

WOW Colosseum

Designed by a veteran gamer named Jason Devlin “The WOW Colosseum” is a paid tutorial and online members-only community that exists to help players get to higher levels with their character. While much of the benefit of this online community lies in the tips and tricks you learn, some of the benefit is derived from the fact that the group is mutually supportive.

Since the MMORPG (massive multi-player online role-playing game) is a community to begin with, many people will enjoy The WOW Colosseum’s “community within a community” aspect. Learning from and helping others within this community only adds to the addictive aspect of WOW, as you can accelerate your progress while connecting with other like-minded players.

You can learn more about WOW Colosseum by checking out the review here.

Pixie Hollow is a massively multi-player online role playing game (MMORPG) aimed at girls from age 6 to 13. Tinker Bell is the guide and mascot of this online game that was developed by Disney. The game is website-based – there is no need to download any files. The only major requirements are that users have Adobe Flash Player, 512MB of RAM and a broadband internet connection.

The design and graphics are done in typical quality Disney fashion – clean, clear, well-defined and with depth. Pixie Hollow is free to join; however, in order for players to experience the full features of the website, a paid membership is required. A monthly membership is $5.95; six months is $29.95; and an annual membership is $57.95. Membership cards can also be bought in person through major toy stores. A full membership allows players to play all the games featured on the website and add accessories to their online life.

Features

Every member who joins Pixie Hollow gets to choose a fairy that will be their virtual personality. In the beginning, members were only able to choose fairies. Currently, there is also a male version of a fairy called a Sparrow Man. A paid membership allows players to shop; obtain a larger virtual home; obtain clothing; play all games on the website (including all quests and adventures); have a pet; and create their own crafts.

What’s Good

Pixie Hollow will appeal mainly to girls under 10 years of age who are interested in the world of fantasy and make believe. The graphics are exceptionally clean and clear with depth and detail, much like Disney’s cartoons and films. There is no violence, drinking, drugs or smoking on the website or in the flash games. Pixie Hollow encourages its members to engage in creativity and imagination by submitting original material and losing themselves in a fantasy world of magic and fun.

What’s Bad

Like many other children’s virtual worlds, Pixie Hollow is divided into two different categories: fun and fantasy for younger children; and risqué chat for tweens and teens. Younger members who are attracted to the Disney themes of innocence and fantasy won’t find much in common with those older members who are more into socializing. Pixie Hollow does have chat filters in place, but they have to realize that members will constantly get around these filters and type in words that look and sound inappropriate – even if the filters don’t catch them. It’s great that members can chat to one another, but if it’s not regulated with force, it brings down the credibility of the entire website.

Online Safety

Even though Pixie Hollow claims that they have strict guidelines for appropriate behavior, they have to understand that certain members will break the rules. Opening up chat so that members can type in suggestive language doesn’t seem like a Disney thing to do. Sure, members will be punished for doing this, but it shouldn’t have been committed in the first place. Pixie Hollow has no control over who joins their website; however, they do have control over what members say. In this regard, Pixie Hollow is not doing a good job and needs to be more vigilant.

Click on the links for the full Hollow Pixie review or the more useful reviews on virtual worlds for girls.

Online Sudoku has become possibly the most popular number puzzle game in the world. They are often referred to as wordless crosswords, and enjoyed by many lateral thinkers all across the world. It is true that people of all skill and IQ levels can have fun playing this number puzzle game, Lateral Thinking is recognised as being a key skill required to get the puzzles completed.

Newspapers and magazines have printed Sudoku puzzles for many years as it has proved to be popular among readers, it has been in newspapers as far back as the 1890s when a French Newspaper printed a 9×9 number puzzle the same as Sudoku we play today, and it is undoubtedly much older than that. The popularised game has spawned many spinoffs, especially in the online arena where casual game developers have based a lot of puzzles on the original Sudoku game. The Object of standard Sudoku is to fill a 9×9 grid with the numbers 1 to 9 in every cell. Each 9×9 grid is split into individual 3×3 subgrids and several numbers will be in place already to start the player off. The rule is that 1-9 can not be repeated in any row or column or any 3×3 subgrid. It may sound easy, but patience and logical forward thinking is required to master this great game.

The modern interest in Sudoku can probably be traced back to when a Japanese publishing company started selling puzzle games featuring Sudoku, in fact they can even be thanked for the name. It took off in the early 80s and soon became the nations favorite puzzle. There are serious players all over the world now, and still remains one of Japans leading past times, with National Championships taken very seriously.

The first known Computer Sudoku game was in 1989, a game called Digihunt on the good old Commodore 64. Since then, it has appeared under many different titles on many different platforms from the Spectrum through to the modern Smart Phones. These days, people know the name Sudoku and there are literally hundreds of places you can get your daily fix of number puzzle fun, either in print or online they are both just as fun.

Taking a look online into the world of Sudoku reveals just how popular the game actually is. You can find many different places to play online Sudoku games and even printable puzzles to play later on the train for example. You will also discover in depth strategy guides to improve your skill with solving Sudoku, and if that is not enough there are a number of very accurate Sudoku solvers that allow you to fill out the numbers from your puzzle grid and retrieve the completed board in return. Of course, not saying that you need to cheat or anything, but for moments when the answer eludes you there is an option just in case.

Just in case Sudoku is new to you, next break time or puzzle hour instead of picking up your usual crossword or other puzzle, enter Sudoku Games in Google or any other search engine and try a game or two.

A SWTOR Space guide might be needed to someone who has never played this type of games. You shouldn’t worry though, it is a lot more simple than how space combat was in the old Star Wars Galaxies. Never the less, you will have to know a few things in order to be able to complete these missions. They can be hard if you don’t know exactly what to do.

In order to get your own Starship, you just have to follow the story line quests. Around level 17, you will get the quest that will lead to your own ship. You can get it as soon as level 14 if you focus on the main storyline, but it is unwise.

The first mission you will have to do is going to be an escort mission. This is for both factions and the missions are almost identical.

First you have to understand how space works in SWTOR. You won’t be able to control the main trajectory of your ship. It has a set course in the instance which you cannot deviate from. You will only be able to control your target and make small movements across your screen to avoid objects and enemy fire. You saw right, you have to avoid objects. If you hit an asteroid, another ship or other debris of larger size, you will get damaged.

As soon as you begin the mission, you will see the ship you have to escort in front of you. Even though there will be a lot of lasers flying around and much larger ships firing at you and the escort, you need to remain calm. Focus on killing the Interceptors that pass you by. Those will do the most damage to the escort ship and to you when they turn around. So kill them before they have a chance to do this.

When there aren’t any Interceptors around, fire at the turrets of the enemy cruisers. You don’t have to hit them much, so fire a few shots at one and move quickly to another. It will take a while for your shots to reach them so don’t target one until it is destroyed. Only use your missiles on generators and such. To fire them, put your cross-hair over the target and right-click. The missiles are Fire and Forget, which means that they will go to the target themselves so you don’t have to keep your cross-hair on it.

Kill as many turrets as you can and you will also do bonus objectives in the mission. If done right, your escort target should have 50% HP by the time it reaches the destination.

When you upgrade your ship, focus on defensive capabilities as your fire power will be enough. In order to regenerate your shields during combat, you will have to stop firing. This will help you survive in any mission pretty easy. Still, in order to succeed in the other missions, which are a bit more complex, you might need a SWTOR Space guide.

To make sure you have all the data you need to complete every mission, no matter how hard it is, you need a great SWTOR Space Guide.

Click here to get the Best SWTOR Guide.

Looking for a SWTOR Datacron Guide? Good news! In this post I’m going to let you know what these mysterious artifacts are, why are they important and most important, where to find them.

So, for the first chapter of this short SWTOR Datacron guide, let’s see…

What are Datacrons?

Datacrons are relics or artifacts that can be found throughout the whole Star Wars: The Old Republic universe. Each planet has its share of Datacrons, and if you want to improve your character, you should find them all.

The look like small cubes and emit a colorful, bright glow. They’re not difficult to locate, but in most cases it’s not quite easy to get to their position and collect them. Once you have a Datacron in your grasp, a cutscene will start and you will be granted the attributes of that specific Datacron.

A Datacron is visible to you until you pick it up. They don’t change location and, thank God, you don’t have to camp a certain location for hours or days to obtain one.

Why are SWTOR Datacrons so important?

Since most of the Datacrons grant you stats points, it’s best to have as many as possible, if not all of them, to bolster your character’s attributes and deal more damage, healing or becoming a threatening target.

For example the three Datacrons on Tython, the jedi starting planet will grant you:

Datacron 1: +2 Endurance
Datacron 2: +2 Willpower
Datacron 3: Blue Matrix Shard

As you can see, some of the Datacrons contain Matrix Shards which you must process and combine into Matrix Cubes (three by three), to obtain powerful mods.

To assemble and respectively disassemble a Matrix Cube, you will need to access a Matrix Assembly, which can be found on Coruscant for the Republic, and on Dromund Kaas for Empire.

To deconstruct a Matrix Cube, you will have to access a disassembler which basically looks like the assembler, but in order to power it you will need a special component, a Reconstructed Disassembler Core which is quite pricey. It currently costs 20.000 credits. Therefore, be careful which shards you put into your Matrix Cube.

Where to find Datacrons?

The last tag of this short SWTOR datacrons guide refers to the locations of Datacrons. Currently there are 66 Datacrons comprised in the Star Wars: The Old Republic universe and there probably are more to be added in future patches. The existent ones are scattered on all 17 planets. The list is quite a bit long.

Therefore, if you want to discover all the SWTOR Datacrons’ locations, check out this SWTOR Datacrons Guide.
